Overview
The Republic of Somalia is a country located in the Horn of Africa. It is bordered by Djibouti to the northwest, Kenya to the southwest, Yemen to the north, and Ethiopia to the west. Somalia as it is presently constituted was formed in 1960 after centuries of fighting off British and Italian rule. The best time to travel to Somalia is generally between December and March, when the temperature is relatively mild.

A cheap and easy way of getting around Somalia is by using buses. Of course, taxis are available for travelling around the country as well.
