The Dutch owned the country in the 17th century and the Japanese occupied the nation until 1945 after which it became an independent country. Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia. The official language is Indonesian, while many people speak Javanese.

The Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is a place where you can explore Indonesia in one day. Showcasing the country, it shows many sights and attractions of Indonesia. Inside the park, visitors find many Indonesian natural and cultural attractions, such as a replica of traditional houses, an archipelago shaped lake, and other fascinating things.

There are many recreation and nature parks throughout Indonesia. The Komodo National Park is a popular tourist destination where you can see Komodo Dragons. This park lies in the Wallacea region of Indonesia, and is identified by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and Conservation International as a global conservation priority area.

Bali

There are many islands that make up Indonesia, but the most popular island is Bali. It is located in the westernmost region of the Lesser Sunda Islands, lying between Java in the west and Lombok in the east. Bali is one of the country's 33 provinces with Denpasar as its province capital. Major part of Bali's population follows Balinese Hinduism, while others follow Islam.

The deep blue waters and the luxurious accommodations set Bali apart from the rest of the nation although the cultures and traditions are the same. The island is surrounded by coral reefs. It is the largest tourist destination in the country and is well known for its highly developed arts, including dance, music, painting, sculpture, wood carving, handcrafts, leather, and metal working.

Museum Le Mayeur, Seminyak, Gunung Batukau, Amed, Ulu Watu, and Temple Pura Ulun Danu Bratan are some of the places of interests in Bali. The beaches offer plenty of opportunities for swimming, surfing, or just sunbathing. Kuta Beach, Nusa Dua, and Sanur beaches are some of the popular beaches in Bali.
