Nepal is located in the Asian continent with India to the south and China to the north. This federal democratic republic is well known for peace and is considered a sacred place by the Hindus. Kathmandu

Situated in the heart on the Himalayas, Kathmandu is the capital city and the largest city in Nepal. The best time to visit this city would be between March and April or in October/November. Many people, who want to climb the Himalayas, usually come here to begin their ascent on the mountain.

When you visit this city you can visit the World Heritage Sites of Swayambhu temple, Changu Narayan, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. You can also visit Thimi, Bhaktapur, Balaju, Budhanilkantha, and Patan Durbar Square in Katmandu. On the banks of the holy Bagmati River in Kathmandu, is the temple of Lord Papshupati, another name of Shiva, who is believed to be the protector of animals. This place is considered to be very sacred by the Hindus.

Himalayas

Himalayas have some of the highest mountain peaks in the world. The Himalayan Mountains that are located in Nepal include the Lhotse Mountain, Makalu Mountain, Manaslu Mountain, Annapurna Mountain, Dhaulagiri Mountain, Kanchenjunga Mountain, and the Cho Oyu Mountains. The highest peak, the Mount Everest, is located in the Himalayas. The best time to go trekking in these mountains would be between October and November. If you are interested in mountain climbing, then the best time would be in February and March.
