Ontario is a province located in east central Canada. It was one of the four original provinces that formed Canada in 1867. Although Ontario sits between the provinces of Quebec and Manitoba, it also borders the U.S. states of Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and New York as well as the Great Lakes. Toronto

Toronto, the capital of Ontario, is Canada's most populous city. It is full of life and entertainment day and night. This metropolitan area has one of the largest recreational waterfronts in North America. The Harbourfront Centre is one of the best ways to enjoy Toronto's beautiful waterfront. The Harbourfront Centre is made up of art galleries, theatres, boutiques, restaurants, offices, hotels and marinas.

For a truly panoramic view of the Toronto skyline, take a ferry ride over to the Toronto islands. The Centre Island offers plenty of family-friendly entertainment like parks with barbeques and picnic tables, bicycle paths, and boat rentals. The Toronto Zoo is also a kid favorite. It houses around 5,000 animals from several geographic regions like the African savanna and Great Barrier Reef. To the north of Toronto is another popular attraction, Canada's Wonderland. This amusement park is the largest in Canada.

Other great attractions to visit in Toronto include the CN Tower, Ontario Palace, and Rogers Centre. For tourists who enjoy shopping and world-class dining, Toronto offers plenty of both. The Eaton Centre is a shopper's paradise. It has 320 stores and restaurants, 17 cinemas, and a 400-room Marriott Hotel. If you venture into the Old Town Toronto neighborhood, you will find one of the best food markets in the world.
