Cuba Vacations

Overview

Cuba, or the Republic of Cuba, consists of the island of Cuba, the Isla de la Juvetud and several archipelagos in the Caribbean Sea. The principal is surrounded by the Colorados, the Sabana-Camaguey, the Jardines de la Reina and the Canarreos. Havana is the country's capital and the largest city in Cuba. The Havana city is one of the best places to visit in Cuba. It has a warm, tropical climate and its culture, customs and people draw from diverse sources, including the aboriginal Taino and Ciboney peoples. The season is dry from November to April and rainy from May to October. Hurricanes are most common in September and October. In general Cuba has a very pleasant climate. It is always best to check out the weather information before you plan your trip.

Activities & Attractions

Perhaps the most popular of all is the great nightlife that Cuba has to offer. It's the incredible scenery and amazing nightlife that makes Cuba one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Great Antilles.

Trinidad in Central Cuba is the most visited place in Cuba. There are also excellent stretches of beaches across the north coast, and places like Santa Clara and the backwaters of Remedios to visit.

There are nightclubs, dance clubs, bars, and restaurants and live music venues that you will definitely want to check out when visiting Cuba. There are also great daytime activities for the entire family. Some of them include coral snorkeling, day hiking trips off the beaten path, swimming with the sea life and much more. With all of these, your vacation or trip to Cuba will be enjoyable and memorable.

Lodging

When it comes to staying in Cuba, there are many different options. You can choose from luxury resorts and budget hotels, to motels that are available throughout the island. Each hotel, holiday complex and airport has duty-free shops selling cigar, rum, Cuban coffee, preserves, craft- work, video tapes, posters, and other products.

Transportation

There are a few options when it comes to transportation in Cuba. The easiest and most efficient way to get around the island is to utilize a rental car service. However, these might be out of some people's budget and many will opt to utilize taxis and other forms of public transportation. A guide who knows the city can be a great asset.
