Activities & Attractions
The beaches along the shoreline of the Trinidad and Tobago islands are some of the pristine and unspoiled beaches in the world. The east and the south west coast of Trinidad feature spectacular beaches that offer many opportunities for scuba diving. There are a number of local companies that feature glass bottomed boat tours. These tours give glimpse of the undersea wonders, and allow you to look at the many varieties of flora and fauna found in the ocean.
If you are interested in fishing, the dual islands offer many opportunities for it. You can rent boats from the rental agencies to go fishing. If you visit the Turtle Beach between February and June, you can see the Leatherback Turtles laying eggs on the sand. Asa Wright Nature Center and the Caroni Bird Sanctuary are places you can visit if your enjoy bird watching. Kimme's Structural Museum, Fort Milford, Tobago Museum, Botanic Gardens, Fine Arts Center, and Flagstaff Hill are popular places that you can visit on these islands.
If you are a wildlife enthusiast, you can go sightseeing to view the unique varieties of flowers, butterflies, and birds that occupy the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Most of these species are distinctive to the islands and not found anywhere else in the world.

Busses are also a preferred mode of transport on the island. You can choose to travel by maxi-taxis or route taxis if you want to travel short distances. You can also travel in tourist taxis to places of interest.
