El Salvador Vacations
Overview
El Salvador exhibits a mixed terrain and geographically comprises about three regions: the central valleys and plateaus, the south coast area and the northern mountain region. Each of these areas has its own unique climate, but defined dry and wet, semi tropical weather is common to all the three areas. Most of El Salvador is humid and hot nearly all times of the year. The months between May and October get frequent showers.
It would be a wise decision to pack some lightweight clothing that is best suited for this type of weather. Much of El Salvador is conservative. And hence, it is advisable that the female tourists do not wear shorts and pants in rural locations. If you are a woman, it is a good idea to pack some dresses or skirts and blouses when you travel into the countryside.
In the same manner, you will not see very many bikinis on the beaches of El Salvador. It simply is a much more conservative country than Mexico or Costa Rica. On the other hand, El Salvador also houses some of the most contemporary cities in the whole of Central America, which includes the cities of San Miguel and San Salvador. These modern cities feature shopping avenues that can be treated on par with the most voguish cities on the continent.
