Alaska Cruises

Overview

One of the most popular cruises in the world is the Alaskan cruise. Located in the northeastern end of the United States of America, Alaska has more than 500 miles of coastline. This provides endless opportunity for cruising in Alaska. Cruises to Alaska generally run from May to September. The long summer days and wonderful weather make it an ideal summer vacation idea. Cruises depart from San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, and many other ports in the USA. The itineraries of these cruises vary from three to 11 days.

You can go on a northbound cruise that starts from Vancouver and goes to Whittier. These cruises take you to places like Ketchikan, Gulf Coast, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier, and Whittier. Another option for a cruise tour is the Gulf of Alaska Cruise, which is also known as the "Glacier Cruise." There are plenty of glaciers and fjords in the southern coastline of Alaska that you can see as you cruise around the Gulf of Alaska.

The amount of money that you spend on an Alaskan cruise depends on the cruise company and the number of days that you are travelling. You can choose to travel on big cruise liners or hire small cruisers for your travel. If you are travelling in a large group, you can avail discount group cruises that are offered by many cruise liners.

As you cruise on the sea, you can see wildlife habitats of whales, sea otters, walruses, bald eagles, bears, moose, and porpoises. You can go sightseeing in the ports where the ships dock and enjoy the activities and attractions offered in that place. Shopping in the waterfront markets is a very popular activity among vacationers. If you do not want to leave the ship, you can find plenty of activities on board to keep yourself occupied. Some cruises offer art and craft classes, wine tasting, indoor games, swimming pools, gambling, singing, and dancing.

Princess Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and Silver Sea Cruises are some of the well known cruise liners that offer cruises to Alaska.

I would like to book a Alaskan cruise for Aug. or Sept 2012. I would like a 10 day cruise, either from SF, Seattle, or Van. I would like the price difference from SF or Seattle so I can determine the price difference for air fare to Seattle or Van. I would prefer a suite, not the Presidential, but a nice suite with a veranda. There so many offers I am getting confused. PS We live in Napa Ca. and SF would be great, but I need to know the diffrences.

Alaska IS NOT located on the northeastern side of the US, but the NORTHWESTERN.

Your critics are so short sighted when it comes to the location of Alaska and you are to be applauded. The world is clearly flat by my map (and yours) and viewed from outer space Alaska is indeed in the northeast. The good thing about sailing with you guys is you're careful not to go off the edge, that would be bad for business.

The second sentence says Alaska is located in the northeastern end of America. Need me to edit your copy?

Under Alaskan Cruises, under overview, you state that Alaska is located in "the northeastern end of the United States."
That would be news to most of us. Please fix this error. It's embarrassing.

Geography Lesson: Alaska is located in the Northwestern part of the United States! Your advertisement indicates "Northeastern" part of the United States!
