Azerbaijan Vacations
Overview
Azerbaijan is a country in the Caucasia region of Eurasia. The name "Azerbaijan" comes from the name of an ancient Turkish tribe that lived in these areas. It became independent from the former Soviet Union in 1997. Russian and Turkish are the most commonly spoken languages, with little English spoken in the capital city of the country. It is recommended that tourists should contact their embassy and become a part of their warden program before visiting Azerbaijan. This helps to ensure their safety and well-being during the trip. Their warden can contact the embassy in the case of emergency, as well as provide general travel information to the tourist. The best time to visit this country is between April and June.
