The Czech Republic was originally a part of Czechoslovakia, which declared its independence in 1918 after World War I. In 1993 Czechoslovakia was split into two constituent parts: the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The Czech Republic is a prehistoric human settlement, which is something that many areas cannot claim. Many people find that the city of Prague is simply breathtaking, and that multiple other cities in the Czech Republic can be incredibly beautiful. Prague
Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic. Prague is located in the region of Bohemia, on the banks of the River Vltava. Being the largest city in the country, Prague is home to more than 1.2 million people. Many people fail to realize that the area has been around for thousands of years. The Celts had a settlement in the area around 200 BC, which is one of the earliest known settlements of the area. Prague really is the center of the entire Czech culture.
A city with such a rich history has a lot of different museums and areas that truly show off both the age and the beauty of the area. Many tourists and visitors come to Prague just to visit the beautiful buildings and scenery that are unique from different areas around Europe.
