Overview
Georgia is an interesting country that finds itself directly in-between Europe and Asia. The country features 4.4 million people, and is bordered by Russia, Armenia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. The incredible history of the place travels through multiple different important eras in the world. Georgia was one of the first countries to actually fully adopt Christianity as an official religion. It became a part of the Russian empire before becoming independent. Once this independence was gained, it was forced to be a part of the Soviet Union. The country has been fully independent since 1991, and continues to grow as it gains years of experience as an independent country.
Georgia, like many European countries, can be traced back to some of the earliest humans. There have been claims of them inhabiting the area since the Stone Age. This can lead to some interesting historical sites and interesting artifacts that can be found while visiting the country of Georgia.

If you love the outdoors, and love the beauty of nature, nearly all of Georgia is perfect for travelling. You can easily find beautiful mountains, pastures, and more while visiting Georgia. The beauty of nature is preserved throughout the entire country, making it an easy way to enjoy the country itself.
Tbilisi, the capital and the largest city of the Republic of Georgia, is a city where the ancient culture meets the western culture. The Narikala Fortress, situated in the valley of the river Mtkvari, the Freedom Square, and the Georgian National Museum are some of the popular tourist sites in the city. Georgia is also big into sports, and features multiple stadiums for games such as soccer, rugby, and basketball.

There are many hotels and lodgings available for different budget plans in Georgia. There are four or five star hotels available in the Tbilisi and Batumi. Some recommendable hotels include Alpede, Ambasador, Vere Palace, Victoria, and Zifi.
Transportation
Transportation for all of Georgia is getting better, which is easy to see when visiting the capital of Tbilisi. There are airports that make it easier to get to the major towns, as well as the capital. There is also a metro transit system in the capital that makes it easy to get around. For those who are trying to get into Georgia from another country there is even an international airport in the country. Anyone trying to get through and around the capital will find multiple ways to do so, including the usual bus and car systems that many are used to finding.
