Turkey Vacations

Overview

Turkey is a very large country that is spread out over Asia and Europe. Its coastline is stretched out for thousands of kilometers and borders the Mediterranean Sea, Aegean Sea and Black Sea. Turkey also shares boundaries with Bulgaria and Greece on the west; Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia to the northeast; and Syria, Iraq and Iran to the southeast. Because of the wealth of countries it shares a border with it has to deal with a lot of conflict that arises from the differences in culture and tradition. Its location across two continents lends it a unique composite culture that is a blend of both eastern and western traditions.

Turkey offers many traditional outdoor activities and has a tremendous amount of history to be seen and experienced. The full range of activities promoted by the Turkish Tourism office can be found in the link below in the resources section.
