Las Vegas Hotels

Overview

Las Vegas is a haven for night clubbers, casino buffs, and resort lovers. In short, this city houses some of the pulsating hotels and resorts that beckon travelers from across the world. Home to the celebrated Las Vegas Strip, this city in the state of Nevada features some of the famed hotels, resorts, and casinos that include the Stratosphere Hotel, Mirage Hotel and Casino, El Cortez Hotel, and Hampton Inn.

The recent addition to this dazzling array of hotels and resorts in Las Vegas is Encore, which was originally conceived to be an expansion of the Wynn Las Vegas. Encore was thrown open to the public in December 2008 and was branded as a freestanding resort, better known as the Encore Suites. Each of the 2,000 rooms available in this resort is spread over 700 square feet. The Encore was primarily designed to appeal to the wealthiest and most sophisticated visitors to Las Vegas. Its architecture reveals the Asian influence and a playful design. Its top-notch service of a resort and large rooms are designed to make you feel pampered.

When you stay at the Encore, you are provided with an alluring display of amenities that come along with the accommodations. The smallest of the rooms in this plush resort is 745 square feet with access to all features such as the 42" TV on its 180 degree rotating stand, the floor-to-ceiling drapes, and facility to dim the lights and turn on the "do-not-disturb" sign on the door with a remote. Depending on the view that your room provides, you can catch a glimpse of the mountains or other areas of the strip.

XS, Encore's nightclub has a capacity of 3,000 partiers and is connected to the patio and the pool area with its 29 cabanas that are rentable for your use day or night. In the neighborhood, closely connected to the Encore, is the Wynn, with a common arcade and mutual resources.

The hotels in Las Vegas were betting on the high rollers, the gamblers who spend big bucks for a day or two, but the hotel keepers have come to realize that these are tough, economic times. In Encore, owing to the current economic turmoil, the wealthy that were intended to be catered to are now being offered rooms for under $200.

Does this mean that this is not one of the best times to open a Las Vegas casino? This question does not go amiss, considering the fact that a 2,034 room hotel that Stave Wynn opened after spending nearly $2.3 billion took its first bets right when the breakdown of the national financial system caused some nervous reactions. With the recession looming large, the nightly rates have been cut to the resort's ever-lowest figure of $159. It brings a bigger footprint with a few added features as well, such as a golf course and two car dealerships, Ferrari and Maserati.

Connecting the Wynn and Encore is a walkway, with 11 boutiques en route that might just slow your trek down between the two.
