The city's boardwalk is a family favorite. Its interesting art galleries, shops and restaurants attract plenty of crowds day after day. The authentic Mexican cuisine in is simply mouth watering. The city's dining options range from small, local joints with home cooking to fabulous restaurants featuring European chefs. Puerto Vallarta also has a great nightlife for those who enjoy dancing into the wee morning hours.

Transportation
For international tourists, the best way to reach the city is by flight. The Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport serves around 3 million passengers each year. Most of the transportation facilities within Puerto Vallarta are inexpensive and easily accessible. Bus stops are clearly marked and buses usually arrive every 15 minutes at major stops. If you are traveling late at night, it is usually better to take a taxi.
