Missouri Vacations
Overview
Missouri is located in the Midwestern United States. When the French settled the area, it was inhabited by the Native Americans and would later be sold to the United States as part of the Louisiana Purchase. It became a territory in 1812 and was admitted to the Union in 1821, making it the 24th state. Missouri is now a chief producer of transportation equipment and its fastest-growing industry is food processing. Missouri is also a major supplier of lead due to its extensive mines.
