Overview

Utah is a state that is located in the western region of the United States and was the 45th state to join the Union on January 4, 1896. Most of the state's vast expanses are uninhabited. The name Utah is derived from Ute meaning "people of the mountains." Utah is a center of information technology, research, government services, mining, transportation, and a major tourist destination for outdoor activities.

Activities & Attractions

There are plenty of activities and attractions in Utah for visitors to the state. In fact, Utah has long been known for all of the incredible outdoor activities and extreme sports that are available. some of the great activities that are hiking, horseback riding, ATV riding, biking, fishing, golfing, rock climbing, hunting, and many water sports. If you visit the state in winter, you can enjoy the winter sports that include snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, and other great winter activities. The state has five national parks that include Arches National Park, Zion National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Bryce Canyon, and Capitol Reef National Park. Discovery Gateway, Olympic Legacy Cauldron Park, Pioneer Memorial Museum, and Temple Square are popular places that you can visit in the capital, Salt Lake City.

You can also join the many events that are held in the state. Annual Cedar Breaks National Monument Wildflower Festival, Moab Music Festival, the fun run at Sheep Creek Canyon, and Annual Classic Music River Journey are some of the festivals held in the state.

They are usually free for guests and a very efficient mode of transport. You can also rent a car from the rental agencies, if you wish to have a great deal of flexibility in your travel.
